Rider Allegedly Robbed of Bike at Charter Oak Park

Deputies still looking for suspect in afternoon theft.

A young bike rider was a little shaken up Friday afternoon after he was allegedly knocked off his bicycle and had it stolen.

The robbery happened at Charter Oak Park in the community of Charter Oak around 4:50 p.m., according to Lieutenant David Vega of the San Dimas Sheriff's Station. What direction the victim was traveling was not immediately known to Vega, but the suspect may have taken off with the victim's blue BMX bike southbound on Bonnie Cove Avenue.

Vega did not receive any reports of serious injuries to the victim. The age of the victim was not immediately known.

The suspect was described as a male Hispanic, about 15 to 18 years of age. He wore a dark gray shirt, blue jeans and a gray hat.
