Rancho Cucamonga Girl ID'd as Drowning Victim

Officials with the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office have identified the 2-year-old girl who drown in her family's pool Christmas Day in Glendora.

LA County Coroner's Office spokesman Ed Winter identified the girl as Zoe Knudsen, from Rancho Cucamonga. Knudsen died after an unsuccessful attempt by Foothill Presbyterian Hospital staff to revive her, Dec. 25.

An autopsy has yet to be scheduled, Winter said.

Police responded to a 911 call of a possible drowning in the 700 block of Sunny Grove Lane at 4:43 p.m. The girl reportedly was missing for three to four minutes before family found her in the pool, said Sergeant Scott Strong of Glendora Police.

A family member attempted CPR. An arriving officer performed a "scoop and run," where the officer immediately transported the girl, along with a family member, to the hospital, Strong said.

"All indications are it's an accident," Strong said.
