Radio Shack Store Hit by Burrowing Burglar

Suspect makes off with iPods and other small electronic devices.

Glendora Police are investigating an overnight burglary of the Radio Shack store, 830 South Grand Avenue, in which a burglar or burglars burrowed through the wall of an adjacent vacant business to gain access to the store.

iPods and other small electronic devices were taken, said police Lt. Joe Ward. Ward did not yet have a cash value for all the items taken.

The burglary was reported by employees at 8:41 a.m. Tuesday. Investigators found that one or more burglars gained access to the adjacent building by forcing open a rear door.

Tools were used to brake through the drywall wall and go for items that were on display, Ward said. He would not elaborate on what the tools were.
