UPDATE:
Three were arrested in connection to a standoff in Glendora Tuesday night, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department.
Javier Valdez, 36, of El Monte, Jimmy Eskander, 32, of Covina and Borin Chan, 32, of Moreno Valley were in a stolen vehicle from Pomona when the car crashed into motorist in Glendora.
Valdez was arrested following a long standoff with police after he fled the scene of the crash and took refuge inside a home.
Eskrander and Chan were both arrested at the car for their involvement with a stolen vehicle and suspicion of possessing methamphetamine for sale. Valdez was arrested for an outstanding narcotics warrant, suspicion of possessing meth for sale, grand theft auto.
After he was arrested, Valdez was treated at the hospital for dog bite injuries.
UPDATE, 11:11 p.m.: After several hours, authorities finally apprehended the car thief suspect who barricaded himself in a home in the 200 block of W. Colorado Ave.
The suspect led Sheriffs deputies in a car pursuit that ended in a crash in Glendora. The suspect, driving a stolen vehicle from Pomona, crashed into another motorist, who was taken to the hospital.
The suspect fled the vehicle and ran through backyards in a residential neighborhood. He then took refuge in a home. Nearby residents were evacuated.
Police used flash bang grenades to force the suspect out. Shortly after 11 p.m., the suspect was taken into custody, according to Glendora Police.
Authorities cleared the home to ensure no evidence was left behind, according to deputies.
The suspect was transported to Foothill Presbyterian Hospital for, as of right now, unknown medical needs.
UPDATE, 9:40 p.m.: Flash bang grenades were deployed at the home where the car thief suspect is barricaded, according to Sheriff's deputies.
One resident described the flash bangs as a "huge explosion" and that authorities were ordering the suspect to exit.
One of the residents of the home where the suspect is barricaded spoke with Patch over the phone. She described how the man entered her home.
"My dad was out there because he was home when the guy ran into the house. I guess he was hiding behind our neighbor behind us in the backyard. My dad noticed him in the yard, so he went to get the cops and in that time he went into our house," the resident said.
The resident, who wished to remain anonymous, is at the evacuation center in the Whitcomb High School gym along with her parents and the six other neighbors who have been displaced while the situation unfolds.
"We're frustrated. The cops have to do what they have to do, it's just taking a long time," the resident said.
UPDATE, 7:25 p.m.: Authorities believe the suspect is barricaded inside a home in the 200 block of West Colorado Avenue. The man reportedly stole a car from Pomona, according to deputies.
Whitcomb High School has become an evacuation center, with area residents taking refuge inside the gym, deputies said.
UPDATE, 5:20 p.m.: At least two people were injured in the crash at the end of the pursuit, according to an official at Fire Station 151.
The official would not reveal the extent of injuries.
Deputies believe the suspect may be taking refuge in, or near a home in either the 200 block of West Colorado, or the 700 block of South Jenifer avenues, according to police.
According to Glendora Police, the suspect is a car thief on the run.
UPDATE: A suspect vehicle crashed into a car at the end of a pursuit Tuesday afternoon.
According to other media sources, one suspect is in custody, while the driver of the victim car was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.
The suspect car crashed in the 700 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue just before 4 p.m. One man fled deputies on foot and ran through backyards. At least two residents reported seeing the suspect in their backyards and that he shed his shirt while running, according to scanner reports.
The man was possibly wanted for possession of drugs, but deputies were not available to confirm. Glendora Police, Sheriff's deputies and a police helicopter are searching a large area and Whitcomb High School was placed on lockdown, police said.
The man is described as Hispanic, about 5 feet 10 inches. He is wearing black pants and some form of glasses. He wore a blue shirt, but shed that while running, police said.
As of 4:55 p.m., the suspect was last seen running towards South Jenifer Avenue from West Colorado Street.

Previous: A pursuit by sheriff's deputies has just ended with a two-car collision in the 700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in Glendora, according to ABC7.
When the crash occurred Tuesday afternoon, the pursued driver took off running. Glendora Police set up a containment in the area to search for the suspect.
Sheriffs deputies and Glendora Police are currently at the scene. According to scanner reports, there is still an active search for at least one suspect.
According to City News Service, one person is being taken to a hospital.

Out of courtesy, the police/sheriff might tell you why there's a police helicopter flying around, but I doubt they HAVE to tell you. I would imagine sometimes law enforcement officers wouldn't want to compromise what they are doing by leaking out information before the task is complete.
