Police Seek Masked Gunman in Failed San Dimas Robbery

The suspect fled the scene when there was no cash to hand over during the Friday robbery attempt.

A man in a ski mask tried to rob a bank on Arrow Highway in San Dimas at gunpoint Friday, but fled without cash.

The attempted robbery occurred  at around 11:25 a.m. at Wells Fargo, 925 W. Arrow Highway, according to the San Dimas Sheriff’s station.

The gunman ordered customers and employees to the ground, but soon found that there was no money to hand over.

The suspect left the scene and was last seen driving a BMW sedan with paper license plates displaying the word, “Keyes.”

The suspect was described as a Latino man between 25 and 30 years of age, 6 feet tall and 230 and 250 pounds. He was wearing a turquoise hooded sweatshirt and black plants. Reports also indicate the man was wearing a ski mask at the time of the robbery.
