Police Look for DUI Suspect, He Finds Police

Suspect rear-ends Glendora Police car stopped at signal.

A police search for a DUI suspect ended ironically late Monday when the suspect rear-ended a police car that was stopped at a traffic signal at S. Lone Hill Avenue and Auto Center Drive.

The female officer in the police vehicle received minor injuries in the accident, but remained on duty.

Police arrested Brian Castle, 42, of Folsom, CA, on a felony charge of driving under the influence of prescription medication. The suspect was not injured in the accident, police Lt. Brian Summers reported.

Glendora Police received a call from a concerned citizen at 9:16 p.m. that a man was driving erratically and might be impaired. Police looked for the suspect vehicle in the area of Route 66 and Compromise Line Road.

They were unable to locate the car until they received word of the accident.

La Verne Police Department handled the investigation of the crash under an agreement with Glendora Police Department to avoid conflict of interest when an officer is involved in an accident.

The suspect was booked into La Verne Police Department.
