Police Determine Dead Woman Found in Home Died of Natural Causes

Officers investigated the death because of the young age of the woman and the "unusual" wound to her head.

Glendora Police investigated the death of a 31-year-old woman today in the 100 block of Prospero Avenue in Glendora, determining later that the woman had died of natural causes.

Glendora police received a call at 6:25 a.m. from a person identified as a relative of the deceased woman. The relative found the woman lying unconscious on the floor in her bedroom. Police responded and CPR was performed on the woman, but she was later pronounced dead.

Staab said investigators determined that the woman stood up from her bed before she fell and struck her head on a sharp corner of a bookcase. Staab said investigators believe the woman may have suffered a heart attack, although an autopsy has yet to be performed.
