Police Blotter: Look At Calls For Service In Glendora

Calls for service from Nov. 18 to Nov. 24

The following information was provided by the Glendora Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Monday Nov. 18
7:58 a.m. - Theft was investigated in the 800 block of West Bennett Avenue.

9:43 a.m. - Graffiti was reported in the 900 block of South High Country Court.

1:52 p.m. - Theft was reported in the 800 block of East Route 66.

5:16 p.m. - Commercial burglary was investigated in the 1700 block of South Grand Avenue.

Tuesday, Nov. 19
12:20 a.m. - Vehicle burglary was investigated in the 1900 block of East Auto Center Avenue.

9:48 a.m. - Trespassing was reported in the 300 block of East Route 66. Arrested was Terry Kelley, 48, on an outstanding warrant. Kelley was issued a citation and released.

2:13 p.m. - Theft in progress was reported at Walmart, 1950 East Auto Center Avenue. Police arrested Grisena Sanchez, 19, on suspicion of theft. Sanchez was issued a citation and released.

3:12 p.m. - Residential burglary was reported in the 400 block of North Willowgrove Avenue.

6:14 p.m. - Grand theft auto was reported in the 900 block of South Grand Avenue.

11:10 p.m. - Brandishing a weapon was reported in the 600 block of South Scott Place. Officers took a report of the incident.

Wednesday, Nov. 20
8:03 a.m. - Officers conducted a pedestrian check in the 1200 block of South Grand Avenue and arrested Jafar Abdul-Azim, 29, on an outstanding warrant. Abdul-Azim was issued a citation and released to La Verne Police.

11:14 a.m. - Fraud was reported in the 900 block of South Grand Avenue.

4:24 p.m. - Theft was reported in the 1000 block of East Arrow Highway.

5:42 p.m. - Theft in progress was reported in the 1300 block of East Gladstone Street. Arrested was Jonathan Vasquez, 26, on suspicion of grand theft and an outstanding warrant. Vasquez was held in lieu of $30,000 bail.

7:43 p.m. - Theft in progress was reported in the 900 block of South Grand Avenue. Several males reportedly stole beer from a convenience store. As they made their escape, one of the suspects dropped his cell phone, which was recovered by the clerk. Police are investigating.

Thursday, Nov. 21
7:16 a.m. - Vehicle burglary was reported in the 600 block of East Ghent Street.

12:21 p.m. - Vehicle burglary was investigated in the 1500 block of South Brunning Avenue.

12:31 p.m. - Police investigated a recovered stolen vehicle at Walmart, 1950 East Auto Centre Drive.

2:49 p.m. - Suspicious circumstances were reported in the 1100 block of East Bennett Avenue. Arrested was John Vitale, 47, on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Vitale was cited and released.

6:19 p.m. - Theft in progress was reported at Kohl's, 1225 South Lone Hill Avenue. Arrested was Lisa O'Neil, 43, on suspicion of burglary, receiving known stolen property, identity theft and forging, counterfeiting, or possessing a fraudulent california public seal. O'Neil was released on $50,000 bail.

Friday, Nov. 22
12:42 a.m. - A traffic stop was conducted in the 900 block of East Route 66. Arrested was Joseph Miranda, 34, on suspicion of DUI and exceeding the legal blood-alcohol level. Miranda was cited and released.

1:53 a.m. - Vehicle burglary was investigated in the 1900 block of East Route 66.

9:58 a.m. - An injury traffic collision was reported at West Gladstone Street and Glendora Avenue. A report was taken.

11:26 a.m. - Vehicle burglary was investigated in the 1200 block of South Glencroft Road.

7:15 p.m. - Theft was reported in the 1200 block of South Lone Hill Avenue. A report was taken.

Saturday, Nov. 23
12:43 a.m. - A family disturbance was reported in the 600 block of East Route 66. Arrested was Jonathan Camacho, 30, on suspicion of battery on a current/former spouse. Camacho was released on $20,000 bond.

11:43 a.m. - Theft in progress was reported at Walmart. Arrested was Terri Harris, 56, on suspicion of petty theft with a prior conviction. Harris was released on $45,000 bond.

12:50 p.m. - A non-injury collision was reported on West Ada at Vermont avenues.

4:55 p.m. - Police were called to assist paramedics in the 100 block of West Norgate. The patient was in full arrest and was pronounced dead. Police took a report.

Sunday, Nov. 24
12:18 a.m. - A DUI driver was reported at East Foothill Blvd and Valley Center Avenue. Arrested was Douglas Kaanaana, 25, on suspicion of DUI and exceeding the legal blood-alcohol level. Kaanaana was cited and released.

8:08 a.m. - Police investigated a report of graffiti at South Valley Center Avenue and Gladstone Street.

8:18 a.m. -Vehicle burglary was investigated in the 200 block of North Encanto Drive.

2:12 p.m. - Police received a report of a possibly-injured man at South Grand and Colorado avenues. The man was observed falling down and it was unknown if he was injured. Police arrived and arrested Michael Ahern, 48, on suspicion of disorderly conduct from alcohol. Ahern was held in lieu of $250 bail.

2:41 p.m. - A fight was reported at South Glendora Avenue and Arrow Highway. The caller stated at least two teens were fighting while a group watched. All fled before police arrived, but at least one juvenile was found hiding nearby and arrested.

7:32 p.m. - A family fight was reported in the 1300 block of South Lone Hill Avenue. Arrested was Carmen Perez, 53, on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a current/former spouse. Perez was released on $50,000 bond.
