Police Blotter: Dec. 8-Dec.12

Burglaries, theft, vandalism and DUIs fill this week's Police Blotter.

The following items were pulled from the Glendora Police log Dec. 8 - Dec. 12.

Wednesday, Dec. 8
* At 8:30 a.m., officers noticed new graffiti on the bridge over Route 66. The bridge is often a target of vandalism, and according to Glendora Police Sergeant James De Mond, walking on or near the bridge is very dangerous. Anyone who sees people trespassing on the bridge is encouraged to call the Glendora Police at (626) 914-8250.

* At 2:33 p.m. at Westridge and Bennett Avenues, a woman's purse was snatched from her car. The suspect smashed the window to steal the purse sitting on the car seat.

Friday, Dec. 10
* A hit and run was reported at 750 W. Rte 66 at 10:56 a.m. The car struck a support pole at a shopping center, causing major structural damage.

* A burglary was reported from a residential garage in the 200 block of S. Wabash at 2 p.m.

* At 8:02 p.m., the T-Mobile store, 601 W. Rte 66, reported a burglary. The suspect ran out of the store with an iPad.

Saturday, Dec. 11
* At 2:37 p.m. a woman reported that her pick up truck had been keyed on the 300 block at W. Meda Ave.

* A non-injury accident was reported at 5:59 pm at Barranca and Rte. 66

* Officers arrested a man on a DUI charge at 8:05 p.m. at the 1300 block of S. Grand Ave.

Sunday, Dec. 12
* At 4:26 a.m. officers made a DUI arrest at the corner of Grand and Carter avenues.

* At 11:24 a.m., employees at Walmart reported that someone had tried to pay with counterfeit bills.
