Police Blotter: A Look At Local Police Activity

For the week of Oct. 14 to Oct. 20.

The following information was provided by the Glendora Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Oct. 14

9:07 a.m. - Police responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle in the 600 block of North Wildwood Avenue. Police arrested Richard Doll, 24, on two outstanding warrants. Doll was issued a citation and released.

2:29 p.m. - Fraud was reported at Walmart. Arrested was David Herbert, 37, on an outstanding warrant. Herbert was cited and released.

3:40 p.m. - Vandalism was reported in the 1600 block of Foothill Blvd.

5:24 p.m. - Fraud was reported in the 400 block of West Gladstone Street.

Tuesday, Oct. 15
6:52 a.m. - Graffiti was reported in the 1300 block of East Gladstone Avenue.

10:05 a.m. - Theft was investigated in the 1300 block of South Grand Avenue.

5 p.m. - Fraud in progress was reported at Walmart. Arrested was Joseph Brooks, 21, on suspicion of burglary. Brooks was released on $45,000 bond.

5:34 p.m. - Theft was investigated in the 1600 block of East Foothill Blvd.

8:40 p.m. - Burglary was investigated in the 400 block of North Westridge Avenue.

8:58 p.m. - Theft in progress was reported at Kohl's, 1225 South Lone Hill Avenue. Police arrested Keri Carr, 24, on suspicion of burglary. Carr was released for a court appearance.

Wednesday, Oct. 16
8:52 a.m. - A traffic stop was conducted in the 1900 block of East Route 66. Arrested was Leticia Maturino, 48, on an outstanding warrant. Maturino was issued a citation and released.

10:45 a.m. - Commercial burglary was investigated in the500 block of West Citrus Edge Street.

5:36 p.m. - Police investigated a fraud in progress at Walmart.

Thursday, Oct. 17
8:14 a.m. - Graffiti was reported in the 200 block of North Glendora Avenue.

12:22 p.m. - Police investigated a burglary report in the 800 block of North Wick Lane.

4:45 p.m. - Police investigated a burglary report in the 900 block of North Glendora Mountain Road.

5:54 p.m. - Theft in progress occurred at Walmart, 1950 East Auto Centre Avenue. Arrested was Erika Butkus, 25, on suspicion of theft. Butkus was issued a citation and released.

7:13 p.m. - An injury collision was reported at South Glenwood and Lemon avenues. A report was taken.

Friday, Oct. 18
12:08 a.m. - A traffic stop was conducted at East Arrow Highway at Valley Center Avenue. Arrested was Alvarado Salgadocarillo, 25, on suspicion of DUI and exceeding the legal blood-alcohol level. Salgadocarillo was issued a citation and released.

7:18 a.m. - Vehicle burglary was reported in the 400 block of West Foothill Blvd. A report was taken.

12:04 p.m. - Fraud was reported in the 100 block of East Route 66. A report was taken.

12:49 p.m. - A family fight was reported in the 800 block of West Bonita Avenue. A report was taken.

2:14 p.m. - Vandalism was reported in the 100 block of South Washington Avenue. A report was taken.

Saturday, Oct. 19
2:56 a.m. - Police responded to a report of defrauding the innkeeper at Denny's, 549 West Baseline Road. Arrested was Joshua Bennici, 18, on suspicion of DUI, exceeding the legal blood-alcohol level and defrauding the innkeeper. Bennici was held in lieu of $5,000 bail.

10:29 a.m. - Police conducted a traffic stop on North Cullen at Foothill avenues and arrested Sean Stewart, 22, on suspicion of DUI, exceeding the legal blood-alcohol level and driving too slowly. Stewart was issued a citation and released.

4:19 p.m. - Theft in progress was reported at Walmart. Arrested was Jeremy Macias, 21, on suspicion of theft. Macias was cited and released.

6:41 p.m. - Police responded to a report of public drunkenness in the 600 block of West Route 66. Arrested was Margarita Cantu, 26, on suspicion of disorderly conduct. Cantu was released after no further proceedings were desireable.

Sunday, Oct. 20
1:24 p.m. - Police responded to Sam's Club, 1301 South Lone Hill on a report of shots fired. Witnesses reported a man accidentally shot himself in the arm with a concealed weapon, but he and his female counterpart fled the scene.

2:29 p.m. - Police responded to the area of Arrow Highway at Glendora Avenue on a reported fight in progress. Police arrested CHarles Rolon, 21, on an outstanding warrant.  Rolon was held in lieu of $30,000 bail.

8:07 p.m. - Police assisted with an injury traffic collision in the area of Grand Avenue and Baseline Road. A report was taken.
