Police Blotter: A Look at Calls For Service in Glendora

Calls from Monday, Jan. 13, to Sunday, Jan. 19.

The following information was provided by the Glendora Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Jan. 13
2:23 a.m. - Police conducted a pedestrian check at Walmart, 1950 East Auto Centre Drive and arrested Salina Pardo, 36, on suspicion of receiving known stolen property, identity theft and possession of burglary tools. Pardo was released for a court appearance.

10:05 a.m. - Grand theft auto was investigated in the 400 block of East Route 66.

2:26 p.m. - Vehicle burglary was investigated in the 1300 block of East Pebble Springs Lane.

3:46 p.m. - Theft was investigated at Glendora High School, 1600 East Foothill Blvd.

9:33 p.m. - Grand theft auto was investigated in the 1300 block of South Lone Hill Avenue.

Tuesday, Jan. 14
1:43 a.m. - DUI was reported in the 400 block of West Foothill Blvd. Arrested was Kevin Jones, 26, on suspicion of DUI and exceeding the legal blood-alcohol level. Jones was issued a citation and released.

8:20 a.m. - Theft was investigated in the 400 block of East Arrow Highway.

3:48 p.m. - Theft was investigated in the 400 block of South Minnesota Avenue.

10:15 p.m. - Vehicle burglary was investigated in the 1300 block of East Gladstone Street.

Wednesday, Jan. 15
11:20 a.m. - Police responded to an injury traffic collision on North Grand at Leadora avenues. A report was taken.

3:20 p.m. - A traffic stop was conducted in the 700 block of West Route 66. Arrested was David Ballard, 51, on an outstanding warrant. Ballard was released on $7,500 bond.

6:48 p.m. - A traffic stop was cinducted in the 300 block of North Glendora Avenue and police arrested George Achucarro, 43, on suspicion of appropriation of lost property. Achucarro was cited and released.

Thursday, Jan. 16
5:46 a.m.  - Police were assisting Los Angeles County fire fighters with a three-alarm brush fire above Goddard Middle School. On officer saw two men suspiciously running in a flood control channel. The men and a third were arrested on suspicion of recklessly starting a fire.

4:14 p.m. - Police were called to a Glendora Municipal Code violation in the 600 block of South Grande Avenue.Arrested was Armando Lomeli, 53 on suspicion of disorderly conduct, Lomeli was cited and released.

5:51 p.m.- A residential burglary was conducted in the 1100 block of East Lemon Avenue. Police are investigating.

6:55 p.m. - Police investigated a municipal code violation in the 200 block of North Loraine Avenue ad arrested was John Vitale, 37, on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Vitale was cited and released.

Friday, Jan. 17
6:14 a.m. - Grand theft auto was reported in the 300 block of South Pepper Avenue, A report was taken

9:39 a.m. - Police conducted a municipal code vilation in the 18000 block of East Route 66. Arrested was Ivan Cadena, 47, on several warrant. Cadena was cited and released.

1:05 p.m. - Battey was reporte d in the 1600 block of South Banna Avenue. Arrested was Nicholas Claire, 25, on suspicion of Battery. Claire was transferred to the Inmate Reception Center.

3:48 p.m. - A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 block of Hidden Springs Lane. A report was taken.

7:43 p.m. - Police responded to an alarm call, 100 block North Grande Avenue. Arrested was Timothy Barlow, 55, on a warrant. Barlow is being held in lieu of $20,000 bail.

Saturday, Jan. 18
1:55 a.m. - A traffic stop was conducted on West Route 66 at Vecino Avenue. Arrested was Dale Bryant, 28, on suspicion of DUI and exceeding the legal blood-alcohol level. Bryant was cited and released.

7:08 a.m. - Grand theft auto was reported in the 600 block of North Thornhurst Avenue.

12:06 p.m. - Theft was investigated in the 200 block of North Pennsylvania Avenue.

6:33 p.m. - Police responded to a reported family fight in the 600 block of South Grand Avenue. Arrested was Luis Romero, 30, on suspicion of grand theft, battery and false imprisonment. Romero is being held in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Sunday, Jan. 19
4:23 a.m. - Police investigated an alleged attempt suicide in the 900 block of North Dalton Springs Road.

5:47 p.m. - Police responded to a report of suspicious circumstances in progress in the 1200 block of West Hicrest Road. Arrested was Zachary Haralson, 25, on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia and an outstanding warrant. Haralson was transferred to the Inmate Reception Center.

8:38 p.m. - Police responded to a violation of retraining order report in the 400 block of West Gladstone Street and arrested Ali Fanach, 21, on suspicion of violating a domestic violence order and contempt to disobey an court order. Fanach was held in lieu of $20,000 bail.

11:20 a.m. - Police investigated a suspicious occupied vehicle in the 1200 block of East Route 66 and arrested Justin Calorino, 29, on suspicion of DUI and exceeding the legal blood-alcohol level. Calorino was held in lieu of $5,000 bail.
