Police Blotter: A Look at Calls For Service in Glendora

Activity from Dec. 16 to Dec. 22

The following information was provided by the Glendora Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Dec. 16
12:30 a.m. - Police investigated a Glendora Municipal Code violation in the 700 block of East Mauna Loa Avenue. Arrested was Eric Taliaferro, 29, on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance. Taliferro was released on $10,000 bond.

9:17 a.m. - Battery was investigated in the 800 block of West Bennett Avenue. Two juveniles at Sandburg Middle School were arguing when the father of one of the students became involved and allegedly encouraged his son to fight. Arrested was William Flores, 37, on suspicion of making criminal threats and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Flores was released on $50,000 bond.

9:25 a.m. - Commercial burglary was investigated at The Pipe King Smoke Shop, 1948 East Route 66. During the previous night a front window was broken and $14,000 in merchandise was stolen.

2:46 p.m. - An injury collision was investigated at West Gladstone Street and Grand Avenue.

3:26 p.m. - Vandalism was investigated in the 300 block of West Renwick Road.

Tuesday, Dec. 17
10:32 a.m. - A traffic stop was conducted in the 700 block of North Live Oak Avenue. Arrested was Frank Espinoza, 46, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license and violation of his parole. Espinoza was transferred to the Inmate Reception Center.

11:38 a.m. - Vandalism was investigated in the 700 block of West Alford Street.

1 p.m. - A non-injury hit and run collision was investigated on West Orangepath Street and Brightview Drive.

3:52 p.m. - Burglary was investigated in the 1300 block of East Gladstone Street.

10:39 p.m. - Grand theft was investigated in the 100 block of East Colorado Avenue.

Wednesday, Dec. 18
2:32 p.m. - Theft was investigated in the 300 block of South Glendora Avenue.

4:06 p.m. - Police investigated a missing persons report in the 800 block of West Arrow Highway.

4:25 p.m. - Fraud was investigated in the 600 block of East Juanita Avenue.

9:44 p.m. - A Health and Safety Code Violation was investigated in the 1900 block of East Auto Centre Drive. Arrested was Ikela Taylor, 24, on suspicion of petty theft and possession of marijuana. Taylor was held in lieu of $500 bail.

Thursday, Dec. 19
2:42 a.m. - Police investigated an "other call for service" report on South Lone Hill Avenue at the 210 freeway. Arrested was Karl Pejko, 33, on suspicion of grand theft and receiving known stolen property. Pekjo was released for a court appearance.

6:33 a.m. - A missing juvenile report was investigated in the 1100 block of East Renwick Avenue.

3:37 p.m. - Fraud was investigated in the 2200 block of East Auto Centre Drive.

6:33 p.m. - An injury collision was investigated on East Gladstone Street and Glendora Avenue.

10:56 p.m. - A lost property report was investigated in the 1200 block of South Lone Hill Avenue.

Friday, Dec. 20
3:17 a.m. - A traffic stop was conducted on Alosta at Barranca avenues. Arrested was Amanda Diaz, 37, on suspicion of receiving known stolen property and forgery of an official seal. Diaz was held in lieu of $40,000 bail.

6:16 a.m. - An injury collision was investigated on South Glenwood Avenue at Route 66.

10 a.m. - Grand theft was investigated in the 1300 block of South Bradley Court.

12:08 p.m. - Theft was investigated in the 800 block of East Claraday Street.

5:58 p.m. - Theft was investigated in the 1400 block of East Lawford Street.

11:58 p.m. - A traffic stop was conducted in the 600 block of West Route 66. Arrested was Armando Hernandez, 42, on suspicion of driving without a license and failure to provide a license to officers. Hernandez was issued a citation and released.

Saturday, Dec. 21
8:48 a.m. - Residential burglary was investigated in the 900 block of South Sandstone Drive.

9:21 a.m. - Theft was investigated in the 300 block of North Westridge Avenue.

1:43 p.m. - Fraud was investigated in the 300 block of North Marcile Avenue.

5:04 p.m. - Theft in progress was reported at Walmart, 1950 East Auto Centre Drive. Arrested was Norair Dersarkissian, 27, on suspicion of theft. Dersarkissian was cited and released.

8:12 p.m. - Vandalism was investigated in the 1900 block of East Auto Centre Drive.

Sunday, Dec. 22
2:05 a.m. - Vehicle burglary was investigated in the 700 block of West Gladstone Street.

8:20 a.m. - Grand theft auto was investigated in the 1000 block of South Bender Avenue.

3:47 p.m. - Theft was investigated in the 100 block of West Norgate Street.

4:19 p.m. - Police investigated a DUI driver in the 500 block of East Sycamore Avenue. Arrested was Calvin Brown, 37, on suspicion of DUI and exceeding the legal blood-alcohol level. Brown was cited and released.

10:10 p.m. - Vandalism was investigated in the 600 block of South Grand Avenue.
