Police Arrest Theft Suspects After Freeway Flee Attempt

A man and woman are behind bars this afternoon after stealing merchandise from Kohl's, police said.

The theft was reported at Kohl's, 1225 South Lone Hill Avenue, around 1:54 p.m. The man and woman fled in a vehicle, which was spotted by an auxiliary officer on Lone Hill Avenue. Police were still far from responding, but eventually located the vehicle westbound on the 210 freeway, said Lt. Matt Williams of Glendora Police.

Officers followed the suspects as they exited onto Citrus Avenue. The suspect vehicle stopped in the area of Factor Avenue and Glen Lyn Drive in Azusa where the two suspects were taken into custody, Williams said.

A large bag of clothing items were located in the vehicle, Williams said.

Identification for the suspects was not readily available, as the man and woman were awaiting booking, Williams said.
