Plaza Produce Burglarized Tuesday Morning

An unknown thief or thieves smashed a window to Plaza Produce early Tuesday morning and made off with cash, police said.

Officers responded to an alarm call at 4:38 a.m. to the restaurant, 303 West Foothill Blvd., Dec. 24. Upon arriving, police found a front window had been smashed. Officers went inside and found evidence that Plaza Produce had been burglarized, said Sergeant Mike Henderson of Glendora Police.

The restaurant's money deposit bags, which contained $4,500, had been stolen, Henderson said.

Authorities are continuing to investigate.
