Motorcyclist Ejected After Colliding With Sheriff’s Vehicle

The crash created a back-up of traffic on the westbound 210 freeway Tuesday morning.

A crash involving a motorcyclist and an L.A. County Sheriff’s patrol vehicle tied up traffic on the westbound 210 Freeway Tuesday morning.

The crash occurred at 6:20 a.m. during heavy morning rush hour traffic, just east of Lone Hill Blvd., said Sergeant John Escobedo of the California Highway Patrol.

A 56-year-old motorcyclist traveling 30 miles per hour in the carpool lane collided with a Sheriff’s deputy patrol vehicle traveling at 5 to 10 miles per hour, causing the motorcyclist to be ejected onto the roadway.
