Man Tries, But Fails to Rob Glendora Bank

The attempted robbery was reported Friday morning.

A man was arrested Friday morning after attempting to rob a bank in Glendora.

Glendora Police say Armando Lomeli, 55, was arrested at 400 W. Foothill Blvd., after he demanded an undisclosed amount of money from the teller at U.S. Bank, 801 S. Grand Ave.

The suspect abruptly left the scene without any cash, said Lt. Jamie Caldwell.

Nearby Glendora officers spotted Lomeli soon after and arrested him at around 11 a.m Friday.

He was charged with attempted robbery and arraigned in a West Covina court Monday morning.
