Man Suspected of Threatening Woman With Shotgun

The incident occurred in San Dimas Wednesday night.

A San Dimas woman called Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas station claiming a man pulled out a shotgun at her during an altercation Wednesday night.

The incident occurred on Juanita Avenue in San Dimas at around 8 p.m.

The caller said a man made threats, pulled out a shotgun in threatening manner and drove away, said Lt. David Vega. No one was injured in the incident.

Gregory Scroggins, 28, of San Dimas was arrested about a half hour later charged with assault and brandishing a weapon.

Vega said he did not know what the circumstances were to prompt Scroggins to brandish the weapon and it was unknown if the suspect and victim knew each other prior to the incident.
