UPDATE; Man Stabbed At Party Has Died

The man was stabbed about 2 a.m, Saturday at a graduation party in Charter Oak.

A man stabbed at a graduation party in Charter Oak diedat a hospital, authorities said Sunday.

Christian Ryan Smith, 19, of La Puente died at Los Angeles County-USC
Medical Center, coroner's investigator Kimberley Arnold said.

The stabbing in the 20000 block of Stephanie Drive occurred about 2 a.m.
Saturday, said Sgt. Everett Rodriguez of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's
Department's San Dimas Station.

Approximately 20 to 25 young adults were at the party when two men began
arguing. The argument escalated into a fight and the victim was stabbed in
the chest, according to sheriff's Sgt. Diane Hecht.

The suspect ran from the scene and remains at large, Hecht said. A
weapon has not been recovered and no arrests have been reported.

A man was recovering Saturday from a stab wound inflicted at a graduation party in Charter Oak, authorities said.

The stabbing was reported shortly after 2 a.m. in the 20000 block of Stephanie Drive, near Glendora Avenue, according to a Los Angeles County sheriff's sergeant.

The attack was under investigation.
