Man Shot in Argument at Azusa Bar

The incident happened at El Palenque on the 17000 block of E. Gladstone Avenue on Sunday.

A gunman allegedly shot and critically wounded another man Sunday during an argument in a bar near Azusa, and was himself shot and wounded by a security guard, a Los Angeles County sheriff's sergeant said today.

It happened just after midnight at El Palenque at 17010 E. Gladstone Avenue in an unincorporated part of the county, Sgt. Rebecca Rodriquez of the sheriff's Temple Station told the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.

The man shot by the suspect was struck in the abdomen and was in critical condition after undergoing surgery, Rodriquez said.
