Lots of Smoke, No Fire Reported at Glendora Chiropractic Center
Unattended device at Village business causes no serious damage.
Los Angeles County firefighters and Glendora Police responded to a business after a machine began overheating causing a lot of smoke, Saturday morning.
Police responded to the Glendora Chiropractic Center in the 200 block of North Glendora Avenue just before noon. According to Sgt. Scott Strong, a device used to heat towels was left operating without any water in the machine. The device overheated and caused a lot of smoke.
Several Los Angeles County fire engines responded as a precaution, but the device never sparked any flames, police said. Fire fighters used an industrial fan to help evacuate the reamining smoke from the business.
Curious onlookers gathered from the Chalk Festival as authorities worked to clear out the smoke.
