Glendora residents can help combat hunger and poverty in their community by purchasing a bowl of soup in a handmade ceramic bowl created by a local artist.
First Christian Church, 300 N. Glendora Ave., is hosting the annual Empty Bowls fundraiser Friday, March 15 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A $20 ticket purchases a bowl of soup and a choice of a handmade ceramic bowl. Proceeds from the event are given to the Glendora Police Department who hand out immediate assistance to those in need.
