Local Church to Fight Hunger With Bowls of Soup
Proceeds from purchases of handmade bowls and soup go toward helping Glendoral residents in need.
Glendora residents can help combat hunger and poverty in their community by purchasing a bowl of soup in a handmade ceramic bowl created by a local artist.
First Christian Church, 300 N. Glendora Ave., is hosting the annual Empty Bowls fundraiser Friday, March 15 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A $20 ticket purchases a bowl of soup and a choice of a handmade ceramic bowl. Proceeds from the event are given to the Glendora Police Department who hand out immediate assistance to those in need.
