LAPD Searches For Missing Connecticut Man With Glendora Ties

Police Thursday sought the public's help in locating a 50-year-old man with Southern California connections who was last seen months ago in Newtown, Conn.
  
Robert Hoagland, who was last seen at 6:45 a.m. on July 28 at a gas station in Newtown, has connections in Hollywood, Diamond Bar, Norco and Glendora, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
  
Hoagland is white, 6 feet tall and 175 pounds with brown hair, blue eyes and a distinguishable scar over his left eyebrow. He was wearing a white shirt and khaki shorts when last seen.
  
Anyone with information concerning Hoagland's whereabouts was urged to call Newtown police Detective Jason Frank at (203) 270-4229, (203) 426-5841 or local law enforcement.

Newtown was at the scene of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting on Dec., 14, 2012 that killed 20 students and six adult staff members. The 20-year-old gunman, who fatally shot himself at the school, also shot and killed his mother before the school rampage.
