LA County Fire Offering Free Emergency Response Training

The CERT classes will be hosted in Glendora and Covina.

The County of Los Angeles Fire Department and the cities of Glendora and Covina are hosting free community emergency response training to the public.

The County of Los Angeles Fire Department’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program will be presented as a series of seven classes, which will be held on Wednesday nights.

The CERT Program was developed to provide basic training in safety and life-saving skills for the general public. The classes are aimed to provide the public further trainng in emergency response in case of a major disaster, where police, fire and medical professionals may not be able to fully meet the demand.

Scheduled class dates are March 28, April 4, 11, 18 and 25 and May 2 and 9 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.  Classes are located at Covina City Hall, 125 E College St Covina; and ,140 S Glendora Ave. The schedule of meetings will be given out at the class. Class size is limited.
