UPDATED: Injured Woman Found Along GMR

Unknown if the woman was a victim of a crime. Police still on scene.

UPDATE 5:54 p.m.: Editor Hazel Lodevico-To'o arrived to the scene near mile marker 5 and learned from officers that the woman found injured on Glendora Mountain Road hurt herself after somehow falling out of her parked car.

The woman, reportedly homeless, had been drinking and for reasons unclear, fell out of her vehicle and scraped her hands. The woman was transported to an area hospital, according to officers.

Officers on scene acknowledged the initial report from the caller that the woman was naked from the waist down, but could not elaborate further on that report.

PREVIOUSLY: Glendora Police are trying to determine if an injured woman found along Glendora Mountain Road was the victim of a crime.

Police responded to Glendora Mountain Road sometime before 4:30 p.m. The initial call to police was that of a woman face down near the road alongside a car. The caller stated to police dispatch that the woman reportedly was naked from the waist down and the woman was bleeding, according to scanner reports.

Police found the woman after searching GMR extensively for nearly 20 minutes after being told the incident was near Big Dalton Canyon Road. The woman was conscious and breathing and was given aid by paramedics. The actual extent of her injuries is unclear.

Where she was found along GMR is unclear, although police reportedly had searched as far as mile marker 10, according to scanner reports.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department will be handling the rest of the incident once they arrive.
