Indecent Exposure Suspect Arrested Near APU

Angel Enrique Martinez-Campos of Fontana faces indecent exposure charges, Azusa Police announced.

Azusa Police arrested a man suspected of flashing himself to a woman walking her dog near the Azusa Pacific University campus Wednesday afternoon.

The woman was walking her dog in the 800 block of E. Silver Maple Dr. in Azusa when she noticed a man driving his vehicle slowly by. The woman looked at the driver through the driver side window and saw that the man was wearing no pants and was masturbating.

The suspect drove away from the scene and the woman called Azusa Police.

Police arrested Angel Enrique Martinez-Campos of Fontana after noticing the man’s vehicle matched the description given by the woman. Martinez-Campos later admitted to the crime and other acts of indecent exposure and lewd conduct in other policing jurisdictions.

Martinez-Campos is being held on a $35,000 bail and was scheduled to be arraigned at Pomona Superior Court on Jan. 11.

Both APU and the adjacent Citrus College campus, have reported indecent exposure incidents in the past year. Azusa Police was not available to comment on whether Martinez-Campos is connected to those cases.
