Homeless Man Found Dead Identified

Authorities have notified next of kin of the man found dead in front of Wells Fargo Sunday.

Glendora Police have released the name today of the homeless man found dead at a Glendora Wells Fargo over the weekend.

Authorities from the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office have identified the body as that of 60-year-old Richard Altvater. Family have already been notified, police said.

Coroner's officials have yet to determine the cause of death, but police said Altvater might have died from natural causes.

No foul play is expected in Altvater's death.

The man was discovered face down near the front doors of the Wells Fargo Bank, 120 N. Grand Avenue, Sunday morning by a passerby around 8:30 a.m., police said. After police and paramedics arrived, they announced the man dead at the scene. Altvater had been dead for a few hours before the discovery, police said.
