Handgun in Woman's Purse Accidentally Discharges in Glendora Store

A projectile from the bullet hit the woman's boyfriend in the arm, according to Glendora police.

A handgun in a dropped purse fired one bullet inside a Glendora warehouse store today, and the projectile hit her boyfriend in his arm.

Police said the handgun discharged at around 1:45 p.m. inside Sam's Club, 1301 S. Lone Hill Ave.

"Witnesses confirmed that this was an accidental discharge," said Glendora police Capt.. Tim Staab.

Police were at the hospital interviewing the girlfriend to see if she has a concealed weapons permit, Staab said.

The winged boyfriend was being treated.
