Gun Scare Puts Foothill Christian School on Temporary Lockdown

A man enters school grounds with what appeared to be a gun, but Glendora police say a gun was never found.

was on temporary lockdown around noon Friday after an employee alleged she saw a man enter the school lobby and put what appeared to be a gun in his pocket, before asking to use the phone.

Glendora Police arrived at the scene and arrested the man at gunpoint without incident, but it was later determined that the man was not in possession of a gun.

However, the man did have a knife, said Lt. Rob Lamborghini. Lamborghini added the incident was not a life-threatening incident.

“The individual was just there getting directions,” said Lamborghini.

Lamborghini said the school was on lockdown as a precautionary measure.
