Glendora Police Department Bids Farewell to Rob Castro

Rob Castro, former Glendora Police Chief, began his new tenure as the Glendale Police Department's next Chief of Police, Dec. 16, but not before his officers at Glendora bid him a fond farewell.

Castro's last official duty at the helm of Glendora PD was during the city's Christmas Parade, Dec. 14. After the parade, Castro was given one last salute by the members of Glendora PD.

Uniformed members lined the hallway just down from Castro's office and awaited his departure. Castro arrived and was greeted by his sons, Nicholas, 16, and Robbie, 18, who both presented Castro his portrait, which he hung on the wall.

Uniformed members saluted Castro, who then slowly traversed the hallway.

Castro exited to the back parking lot, where he greeted the Glendora Police Department Honor Guard. Castro then tearfully dismissed his officers.
