Glendora Police Arrest Two Students on Graffiti Charge

Suspects arrested for spray painting walls and windows at Sierra High School. Damage is estimated at $3,000.

Graffiti artists are often long gone by the time their work is reported, but on Monday night Glendora Police were fresh on the trail of two suspects that spray painted walls and windows at Sierra High School, 1134 South Barranca Ave., Glendora.

Because of witnesses, police officers quickly converged on the school at 10:45 p.m. They noticed two suspects run from the school toward a nearby residential street.

There, officers were able to capture the two, said Glendora Police Lt. Joe Ward.

Glendora Police continued a successful evening beyond the midnight hour as officers, helped by a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s helicopter and vehicle LOJACK system, located a stolen Land Rover SUV.

The vehicle was reported stolen at 12:32 a.m. Tuesday from the 800 block of Essex Street, Glendora. The owner had been out of town for a few days and returned home to find the Land Rover gone.

A Sheriff’s helicopter helped zero in on the vehicle’s LOJACK system and it was found at a Park & Ride lot near the 210 Foothill Freeway.
