Glendora Citizens Academy to Begin September

Want to learn more about what goes on at the Glendora Police Department? The Citizen's Academy is now accepting applications.

Residents eager to learn about Glendora Police procedure and how public safety works in their town can now apply to the Glendora Police’s Citizen’s Academy.

The is now accepting applications for Class #25 of their Citizen’s Academy.  The Academy has graduated over 600 students and is a way for residents to become familiar with the functions of the police department. 

Classroom time will include introductions to traffic stops and radar enforcement, dispatch, fraud and Identity theft, the K-9 unit, drug information and more.

The Academy, free to all participants, begins Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Police Department and runs for 12 consecutive Wednesday nights. 

Applications to attend can be picked up at the front counter of the Glendora Police Department located at 150 S. Glendora Avenue or by visiting the website at http://www.ci.glendora.ca.us/police or email nulloa@glendorapd.org

Applications will be accepted until Friday Sept. 21st.  Class size is limited to 25 students who work or live in Glendora or are students of Citrus College. All participants must be at least 18 of age.  For more information, contact the Crime Prevention Unit at (626) 914-8268
