Dr. Raul Galindo Ixtlahuac, 51, a former Glendora and Whittier doctor, was sentenced to six years in prison Monday in a Pomona courthouse after pleading no contest to molestation charges.
Ixtlahuac, who practiced at HealthCare Partners Medical Group in Glendora, was convicted of continuous sexual abuse of a minor and sexual penetration of an adult victim, according to the Pasadena Star News.
The 43-year-old adult victim is a resident of Glendora and was Ixtlahuac’s patient at HealthCare Partners Medical Group at the time the abuse occurred. The minor was described as a “social contact.”
Ixtlahuac’s license was suspended in November.
According to the Star News, charges of sexual misconduct surfaced against Ixtlahuac about a decade ago, but he was acquitted by a Santa Clara County jury.
