Updated: Four Hospitalized in Morning Crash

Authorities describe the injuries as moderate-to-minor in the collision at Barranca and Foothill.

Five people were involved in a two-car crash at the intersection of W. Foothill Boulevard and Barranca Avenue at 9:12 a.m. Saturday morning, with four people being taken to the hospital, according to authorities.

One of the people hospitalized was taken to County USC Medical Center, but the injuries to everyone hospitalized ranged from "moderate to minor" said Lt. Rob Lamborghini of the

Four young women were making a left turn from Foothill onto Barranca, police said, while the other vehicle, which contained only a driver, was heading in the opposite direction on Foothill. Three young women from the first car and the woman who was driving the second car were hospitalized with injuries, according to the Pasadena Star-News.

The cause of the crash remained under investigation, but the cars met in a "near-head-on collision" in the intersection, Lamborghini told the Star-News.
