Update: Firefighters Battle Flames in Angeles National Forest

The seven-acre fire burned near Morris Reservoir north of Glendora.

Firefighters today worked to extinguish a seven-acre brush fire burning near the Morris Reservoir in the Angeles National Forest north of Glendora.

The fire was reported about 10:30 a.m. near the 9100 block of North San Gabriel Canyon Road, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The firefighters were using Super Scooper water-dropping aircraft to battle the flames.

The fire was mostly contained by 12:30 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. No injuries or evacuations were reported.
