Early-Morning Burglary at Glendora Pharmacy

Cash taken in window-smash burglary, Azusa pharmacy hit minutes later.

Authorities are investigating a burglary that occurred near in the wee hours of Monday morning.

Police received an alarm call at 1:50 a.m. to , 210 South Grand Avenue. Multiple interior alarms were set off. Several officers arrived to inspect the nature of the call and one officer confirmed a window was smashed to gain entry, according to scanner reports.

Once inside, police confirmed cash was taken from the business, but how much remains unknown. Glendora officers were not available for comment.

Minutes later, a pharmacy in Azusa was also burglarized in similar fashion. Azusa Police responded to Foothill Drug Pharmacy, 680 East Alosta Avenue, after receiving a call at 2:11 a.m., according to Sergeant Bruce Badoni of Azusa Police.

A soap bar and an undetermined amount of cash was taken. Police may have a description of a possible suspect and/or getaway vehicle, but would not release information.

"Not anything that we can release at this time. We haven't confirmed it," Badoni said.
