UPDATED, 4:25 p.m.: Two patients total were transported by helicopter to a hospital, according to Melissa Schneider of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. One patient was extricated from the vehicle and both were flown out about 3:30 p.m.
Officers with the California Highway Patrol reopened Glendora Ridge Road near mile marker 77 around 4:12 p.m., according to CHP traffic logs. The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
PREVIOUSLY: Los Angeles County firefighters are working to free a trapped motorist involved in a crash on Glendora Ridge Road.
The crash was reported around 1:15 p.m. near mile marker 77, according to Officer Posada with the California Highway Patrol. A vehicle collided with a Los Angeles County Public Works Vehicle.
Fire officials are still out at the crash preparing the injured party for transport.
According to scanner reports, the injured motorist has their legs and arms pinned in the vehicle. A rescue helicopter has landed awaiting extrication of the injured driver to transport them to a hospital.
"Because it is an active investigation, there is an officer still out there, we don't have much more details," Posada said.
