UPDATE: Car Hits Pedestrian, One Injured
Elderly driver tries to avoid hitting another elderly man.
One person was injured when they were struck by a car Friday night.
The accident was reported around 8:30 p.m. on westbound Gladstone Street at Rimhurst Avenue, according to . According to scanner reports, the California Highway Patrol may have first notified Glendora officers of the accident and that a person was down after being struck.
Los Angeles County Fire were on scene, as well as Glendora Police.
Authorities were unable to give details of the crash at this time. It is unknown how or why the pedestrian was struck. There were two cars at the scene and it was unclear which may have been involved. The extent of injuries and the hospital the victim was taken to were also unclear.
According to Glendora Police Arrest Logs, no arrests have been made as of yet.

According to Lieutenant James DeMond, the driver of the vehicle, an elderly man, swerved to avoid hitting another elderly man who was crossing the street, but ended up sideswipping the pedestrian. Whether the man was crossing Gladstone or Rimhurst and the direction of travel was not disclosed.
The victim complained of pain and suffered some scrapes. He was transported to San Dimas Community Hospital, police said.

The elderly driver was not charged with a crime and was sent on his way.
