Candle Ignites San Dimas Apartment Fire

One man was injured in the fire Tuesday afternoon.

A fire, caused by a burning candle, ravaged a San Dimas apartment, according to officials at the LASD San Dimas Sheriff’s station. 

Nearby units had to be evacuated as LA County firefighters extinguished the flames in the 200 block of S. Walnut Avenue shortly after 4:30 p.m. One resident, a 58-year-old male resident of the apartment, suffered smoke inhalation and was treated at Pomona Valley Hospital, according to a spokesperson at LA County Fire.

The fire was determined to be accidental.
