Bomb Threat Targets Citrus College Campus

Threat prompts campus-wide evacuation Wednesday afternoon.

Students, faculty and staff were quickly evacuated from when the campus received a bomb threat Wednesday afternoon.

According to scanner reports the call warning of a bomb at the Liberal Arts building on the campus was made at around 3 p.m.

A campus-wide evacuation was initiated.

According to police scanner reports, the call was made from a 214 area code. Inital police searches through the campus came up empty-handed. Initial investigation reports indicate the threat may be a false alarm.

After the police cleared the campus of any bomb threat, the campus reopened for classes soon after.
