Bicyclist in Glendora Accident in Serious Condition

The victim in Tuesday's accident was identified as Glendora resident Steven Marrone.

The Tuesday remains in serious condition, according to the County USC Medical Center.

Glendora resident Steven Marrone, 51, was struck by a Ford Mustang while riding his bicycle in the intersection of Glendora Avenue and Gladstone Street about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

He was immediately airlifted to County USC Medical Center. Since Marrone had no identification on him at the time of the accident, he was listed as a John Doe, according to hospital staff.

Police taped off the intersection and closed it for two hours after the accident as they conducted the investigation.

The accident is still being investigated. Glendora Police have not released the cause of the accident.
