Bicyclist in Glendora Accident in Serious Condition

The victim in Tuesday's accident was identified as Glendora resident Steven Marrone.

The Tuesday remains in serious condition, according to the County USC Medical Center.

Glendora resident Steven Marrone, 51, was struck by a Ford Mustang while riding his bicycle in the intersection of Glendora Avenue and Gladstone Street about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

He was immediately airlifted to County USC Medical Center. Since Marrone had no identification on him at the time of the accident, he was listed as a John Doe, according to hospital staff.

Police taped off the intersection and closed it for two hours after the accident as they conducted the investigation.

The accident is still being investigated. Glendora Police have not released the cause of the accident.

I really am really wanting to hear an update on the bicyclist who was hit on tuesday sept.6, 2011 . I have seen the on on the 9 th but was hearing that he didnt survive? I would like to know if thats true.

Hello Lynette, according to latest reports, Mr. Marrone is still in intensive care, but is in stable condition. He is conscious (his eyes are open and he is breathing), but he is not responsive.
