The suspect was described as about 40-50 years old, wearing a baseball cap, hooded T-shirt and jeans.

An armed man brandished a handgun at employees before escaping with $2,000 from a check-cashing business in San Dimas Wednesday.

No one at Check into Cash in the 800 block of West Arrow Highway was injured in the robbery, which occurred around 4:15 p.m., Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Vicky Gregory said.

Gregory described the suspect as about 40-50 years old, wearing a baseball cap, hooded T-shirt and jeans who escaped on foot to a nearby parking lot.

Detectives planned to watch video surveillance footage from the check- cashing business and other businesses in the area of the San Dimas Plaza Shopping Center, where the robbery occurred, Gregory said.
