Patch Asks: Congresswoman Calls for Opinions on Syria; What's Your Response?

By Rebecca Whitnall

Rep. Judy Chu on Tuesday called for a "robust debate" in Congress regarding the country taking action in response to the alleged use of chemical weapons by the Syrian government.

Before beginning the debate, though, via social media, she asked her constituents on Tuesday afternoon to weigh in.

On Twitter, Chu wrote, "Congress will debate a response for #Syria next week, but I want to hear from you right now," and included a link to a survey asking what action the United States should take.

In case the Congresswoman is a Patch reader, what opinions do you have for her?

Should the United States take action in Syria? If so, what? And what do you think of Rep. Chu reaching out to constituents via Twitter? Is this a practice others in government should use?
