Here is the latest in our new Readers' Choice series. This time we ask you to tell us your recommended breakfast place in Glendora.

Poll votes, stars and reviews, and comments below this piece all will factor in to our selection, to be announced Monday. We limited this poll to local restaurants, excluding large national chains.

Scroll down to take the poll.

If there is another popular Glendora breakfast joint we missed, start a write-in campaign in the comments section below. In the event of a tie, we will break it based on the comments, so please explain your choice.

The poll closes at 9 a.m. Monday. Come back later that day for the results.

(Because our poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results, comments and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey.)

No contest. All great choices but Flappy Jack's is a MUST! Even just thinking about it makes my mouth water.
Melissa Miranda Janssen March 20, 2012 at 08:03 pm
Kara's Korner has the best breakfast! Well, they have great food period!
John March 20, 2012 at 08:16 pm
Stuffed French Toast from Flappy Jacks...nothing more needs to be said.
Abby Ulm March 20, 2012 at 10:39 pm
C'mon now, you left out GRAND BURGER!! Best breakfast burrito in town.
Sarah Barron March 21, 2012 at 02:30 am
The Village French Toast and the Lox Benedict at the Village Eatery are so awesome that I have to order both (even though I can't finish them... lunch for later). Plus the oatbran pancakes are a breakfast staple.
Janek March 21, 2012 at 10:57 am
I will make a guess that Karas Korner is for elderly people that have no remaining taste buds. I ordered a lasagna which came partially frozen to my table and also ordered borscht soup which was of a very odd bright transmission fluid red color. Beets are not this type of red color. It did not look nor taste natural. Possibly I have ordered the wrong items. Next time I will start with the basics, Saltine crackers and go from there attempting different foods.

I like Bella Luca. It's a quaint, little place with amazing service and the menu is really unique. They take the time to prepare each order and make it special. If you haven't tried it yet, you should!

I love the Village Eatery! Great food, you can't beat the location and the people that work there always put you first.
just my opinion March 21, 2012 at 01:07 pm
Peppertree....the food is amazing...i also enjoy the staff. They ALL are friendly and know many custoners by name. I rate this as #1 for both factors. Good food is at ALL these places...but they just dont compare with Peppertree's atmosphere.

Village Eatery has the best breafast in town and the customer service couldn't get any better!!!
Sparks March 21, 2012 at 04:28 pm
MY PERSONAL CHOICE WOULD BE LUCA BELLA. CHRIS DOES A WONDERFUL BREAKFAST AND HE ALSO OFFERS A GREAT LUNCH MENU INCLUDING A VERY GOOD PIZZA
AB March 21, 2012 at 04:57 pm
Another vote for Luca Bella. We go every Sat. Great, friendly service and yummy, fresh food.

If you like to pig out and wait in line just to eat breakfast, then I guess Flappy Jacks is you choice. Not to mention their higher prices for the same thing you can order at the other mentioned locations. But, if you like a simple /basic breakfast like mom used to make before sending you off to school, then Kara's Korner is a good choice. Don't over look Casa Jimenez if you are looking for a basic breakfast and/or a Mexican touch. You will be surprised at the even more reasonable price. And for the reference to the elderly palet, let's just call if more discerning. Hang around Janek, you may get there.

Flappy Jack's is delicious!!!I love there lemon-blueberry pancakes!!!You can taste the real lemon in this pancake! If u love pancakes, this is the place to go. But, go early, gets very packed. The later u go, the longer the wait.
Matt Monson March 23, 2012 at 01:51 pm
The Village Eatery, hands down. Can't beat the customer service, not to mention the food is AMAZING.
nancy March 23, 2012 at 06:42 pm

Bill C. March 23, 2012 at 08:17 pm
The Breakfast Burrito at Angelo's is the best breakfast in town.
Ian March 23, 2012 at 09:29 pm
Love the Village Eatery. You know what's gotten better, though? Honey's. When that place opened, the service was slower than, well, it was slow and the food was meh. They've really improved, just ya just can't beat the Village Eatery.

Eds Place is a great place to eat the owner Ed is the cook and you can really tell he takes pride in what he does. This is definitely my favorite place to eat breakfast!
Mark Brown March 24, 2012 at 01:37 am
Easy..Village Eatery hands down!
Dan Murphy March 24, 2012 at 01:36 pm
Ed's is our favorite, not just the food (potatoes O'brien are to die for) but the friendly staff and small town homey atmosphere!
Ian March 24, 2012 at 11:00 pm
As a side note, the only downside to the Village Eatery is that the kitchen is about as big as a postage stamp. If you're there when it's busy, be prepared to wait a while.
James March 25, 2012 at 04:07 pm
Ed's is awesome! Friendly people and hometown food.
Amy E March 25, 2012 at 05:09 pm
100% Ed's!!! Food..awesome; staff...amazing; love, love, love!!!
capybara March 25, 2012 at 09:50 pm
Ed's Place is the best. Been eating there for 30 years. Flappy Jacks is just standard, Village Eatery is pretentious, Village Vault doesn't even have real cream, and Kara's Korner is good, but to new. Ed's Place. Oh, and the Peppertree? No way.
Lisa April 1, 2012 at 01:00 am
We look forward to our weekend trip to Ed's. It looks like a mom & pop old school diner but the food has the flavor of elegant cuisine. Their breakfast is fantastic! In the cooler months they greet you with warm apple cider and get to know each customer by name. Ed's is THE hidden gem of Glendora!

Yes, they do need to bulldoze Hobo Junction along with the recycling center to the west of it thatRead More attracts its inhabitants.
Tina June 18, 2013 at 12:28 pm
You are so right Danlp oh how I wish they would clean that area up. I might be wrong but it appearsRead More to be getting worse. They not only take up all the grass area but are now starting to sit out in front of Wells Fargo. Come on Glendora.....
K.K June 17, 2013 at 08:06 am
That's what I've been wondering????? Typical Glendora withholding information. Sounded like a methRead More lab blowing up. I heard it was on vista Bonita and some type of " chemical fire".
Janelle June 18, 2013 at 04:08 pm
I called the non-emergency # for the Glendora Police Dept. and the operator told me 'they' knewRead More nothing about the explosion. Then I told her I had 'just read' on Patch that a Glendora Police Officer had told a resident that it probably was an industrial fire cracker, but I 'thought' it was way too massive for that. The operator had 'nothing' more to say.

The local government has chosen to adopt the Sgt. Schultz syndrome that is used by all those in TheRead More District of Corruption, in Washington. Why not? It is working for them, they are getting away with everything they try.
The Crazy Dog Ladies May 31, 2013 at 09:46 am
Dance Street West has great teachers who have the great ability to combine serious dance instructionRead More with lots of fun! My girls and their friends love it!
Danlp May 29, 2013 at 10:16 pm
Well, good luck with that Donald, I've been sending emails to the City Manager ( Mr. Jeffries) for 2Read More years about that stretch of road and all that's been done is the filling of two small potholes. The road condition is an embarrassment to all in the city.
carolyn May 30, 2013 at 11:08 am
I agree with you Danlp, it is a mess on Grand Ave. from Bennett to Sierra Madre. The road had soRead More many pot holes its hard to travel and its a main street wich is just making it worse. Wish they would do something about it Grand Ave.We pay taxes , and my car would appreciate it alot save on matience on my tires and balance.
B.K. Holthaus May 31, 2013 at 10:44 pm
Amen to you both. I have seen several streets in Glendora that could use repair. I was recentlyRead More driving in cities with much fewer resources and and smaller budgets than Glendora wondering why their roads are better than ours. Maybe we need to start with Grand and go from there....
