How Will You Remember 9/11?

Thousands lost their lives in Sept. 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center, Pentagon and on United Flight 93. This year marks the 11th anniversary.

It’s been 11 years now since many of us watched in disbelief as series of events unfolded on Sept. 11, 2001 on the east coast – two planes hitting the World Trade Centers in New York City, a third plane hitting the Pentagon and the crash of United Flight 93 in a field in Pennsylvania. More than 3,000 people died, according to a report on History.com.

Each year, Sept. 11 is day in which many people pause to remember and honor those lost. In New York City, there will be a ceremony marking the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks webcast at 7:30 a.m. CST (8:30 a.m. EST) Tuesday morning.

On the 10th anniversary last year, Patch shared how Sept. 11, 2001 impacted one Glendora native, a war veteran eager to serve his country after 9/11, but returned home with devastating injuries.
