Glendora Schools

Dear Parents,   Your children are your responsibility. Please take your children to their schools, not our neighborhoods. The people who live close to the school are overrun. Our cars are hit in our driveways, pets killed, sprinklers broken and so much more. Please stop turning our streets into a war zone. Constant accidents and traffic jams. No it is not "ok" to double park for "just a minute" "to jaywalk drag your child across 4 lanes" " to pull into my driveway"  " to block the street"  or any of the other selfish things we see daily. I don't want to see your child killed in front of my house. Please. This dangerous daily frenzy needs to stop. Please respect our neighborhood, our homes,  the way you would like yours to be respected.

I wanted to avoid these same problems as a homeowner. My solution: I didn't buy a home near a school! I didn't want airport noises either. So I didn't buy near an airport.

Larry we are 2 blocks from the school. If we had bought our home in the school parking lot your comment would make sense, as it is it is just nonsense. And no matter how sarcastic you choose to be, it will never justify reckless rude selfish behavior.

It's a mistake made, Lin. (we all make them) You thought two blocks was far enough away. Guess it wasn't. I think you'll just have to live with it at this point. Or relocate.

I am sorry you feel that way. I think there is still hope that our police force will enforce traffic laws, that people will try to be good parents and that human beings have the ability to improve themselves. I don't think it is unreasonable to expect people to accept their responsibilities, or to be good citizens.

Aside from hoping that the police enforcement steps up, In this day and age I have not seen any evidence that people rise to the occasion and do what is reasonable and right without being forced to do that. Most are functioning on their optimum levels; which is unfortunate.
