Rosh Hashanah is the two-day celebration and time of personal reflection that marks the Jewish New Year. It occurs once a year during the month of Tishrei and 10 days before Yom Kippur.
This year, Rosh Hashanah begins Sunday, Sept. 16.
"These are probably the holiest of our calendar, and the introspection that takes place at this time is important to us," said Jason Moss, executive director of the Jewish Federation serving the greater San Gabriel Valley. "We need to always contemplate ways we can grow and do better."
