Blog: Volunteer at an Early Turkey Day Dinner

Sowing Seeds for Life, a local charity, is providing a hot turkey dinner for the needy the day before Thanksgiving and is seeking volunteers.

Sowing Seeds for Life, the non-profit charity that provides food and services to the needy throughout the East San Gabriel Valley, will hold its annual Thanksgiving Day Pantry on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving.

This year, the Christ Church of the Valley of San Dimas is teaming up with Sowing Seeds for Life (SSFL) to provide a hot turkey dinner shortly after noon in the DPI Labs parking lot at 1350 Arrow Highway in La Verne. This is the same location where SSFL puts on its regular twice-a-month pantries, which usually take place later in the afternoon.

SSFL founder and CEO Vicki Brown of Glendora, the driving force behind the charity, says volunteers to help serve are being sought.

For more information, or to volunteer, call Yvette Carreon at 909 392-5777 or send email to ycarreon@dpilabs.com.

Go, go GPD. It is nice to be appreciated, but even better when someone acknowledges it.
