Wendy Byron Cold Case: Investigators Starting From Scratch

No new evidence has been uncovered in the reopened case of the 1978 disappearance of Glendora resident Wendy Byron.

A Los Angeles County Sheriffs Homicide detective told reporters Thursday that no new evidence has yet been found in the search for evidence in the 1978 disappearance of a Glendora woman.

While the case in the disappearance of 24-year-old Wendy Byron went cold 35 years ago, Lt. Holly Francisco told media that the investigation is essentially "starting from scratch," using new technology that was not available in 1978.

Francisco said that investigators plan to wrap up its search by the end of Thursday.
