Truck Takes Out Fire Hydrant in Solo Crash

Glendora Police say no one was injured in the Tuesday morning accident on Valley Center.

A driver of Ford pickup truck escaped serious injury when his Ford pickup truck crashed into a fire hydrant and landed on its side Tuesday morning.

The crash occurred around 8 a.m. on Valley Center Drive.

The driver, described by Lt. Jamie Caldwell, as in his mid-20s, said he felt his truck “wobble,” causing the truck to jump the curb, hit several planters and a fire hydrant.

“The tires were in horrible shape,” said Caldwell. Caldwell said the driver was wearing his seat belt.
