Rebuilt Glendora Taco Bell Opens

The 2,000-square-foot building replaced the 47-year-old Taco Bell on Route 66.

Three months after the Glendora Taco Bell at 116 E. Route 66 was razed to make room for a bigger building to accommodate the restaurant, the new Taco Bell reopened to the public last Wednesday.

Some readers commented that they were sad to see the old Route 66 fixture, built in 1966, bulldozed to the ground. Still, city planners said the newer 2,024-square-foot building would add a more upscale look to the area, with the addition of the future 260-unit apartment complex planned across the street.
